Marion Walsh is a French-born ceramic artist working from her home studio in Wilpshire, Lancashire. Arts and crafts have always been her passion, but clay completely stole her heart with its endless versatility and the sense of peace it brings to her creative process.
Her Work
Marion loves playing with texture and pattern, using everything from leaves and lace to screws, cogs, and even computer components to create truly unique designs. Her busy, imaginative mind constantly pushes her to explore different styles and subjects, and she often works in a spontaneous, intuitive way.
Her work ranges from slab-formed functional ware to delightfully detailed sculptural pieces—everything from jewellery and wall art to dishes, vases, luminaries, table centrepieces, and hanging ornaments. Quirky steampunk and sci-fi creations sit alongside nature-inspired treasures, all designed to feel at home in both traditional and modern décor.
The juxtaposition of glazed and bare clay adds an extra dimension to Marion’s work, enhancing its tactile and visual appeal. Her functional and decorative ceramics feature rich textures, patterns, and vibrant colours for lasting enjoyment.

When she isn’t working with clay, Marion paints and creates collages, often turning these into greeting cards—sometimes as prints, sometimes as original miniature artworks—perfect for sending or keeping as small, collectible pieces of art.
Workshops
Marion runs weekly pottery classes from her home studio, as well as one-off sessions for special occasions or simply for those who want to experience the joy of working with clay. Beginners learn fundamental handbuilding techniques—including pinching, slabbing, coiling, and modelling—before progressing to create their own individual projects under Marion’s expert guidance.
