Celia ia a multi-media artist and instructor, working from her home studio in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire.

She studied Art and Design in her college years, and although retired from full time teaching, she has a part time position instructing in the media of watercolour and acrylics on luxury cruise liners.

Her own visually inspiring work, is mainly created using fluid based materials, such as alcohol inks and epoxy resin. The liquids have properties which she uses to create totally unique pieces of art. The appeal of the inks and the resin, is that their pigments pool in unusual ways. When poured, they create fascinating distinctive patterns, which she manipulates by hand to produce paintings wich are particularly individual, expressive and striking.

As art and travel are lifelong passions of Celia, the memories of her travels have continued to influence and inspire her creativity. Her work ia a celebration of the colours, patterns and textures found in the natural environment surrounding the Lancashire country home she shares with her husband Chris, and of the wonderful sights and experiences of the countries they have visited together.

Celia creates one off, contemporary paintings, which marry well with modern interiors.

She exhibits in and around the North West of England, and sells originals, prints, and limited hand embellished prints of her work. She is currently selling work at Longitude Gallery in Clitheroe and works in collaboration with local interior designers to produce pieces of artwork that are taylor-made to the client’s palette and specific requirements.

As an addition, she has produced a range of bespoke up-cycled furniture featuring her artwork, which has been featured at the Grand Designs Excel  exhibition in London.

One off bespoke commissions and small group workshops are available on request.
