Aimee is a dance artist based in Ribble Valley, Lancashire.
She trained locally at The Angela Westwell School of Dance as well as with The Royal Ballet School, and then continued her training at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance. She has collaborated and toured nationally and internationally with dance and theatre companies throughout the country including Ballet Cymru, BalletFolk, Folkdance Remixed, Kindred Folk Theatre, Aboutime Dance Company, Wild Rumpus, as well as various works in television, music videos and film.
She also loves Folk dance, including Lancashire Clog, Morris and Rapper/Long-sword and sees it as an important part of her practice to help preserve/progress the dances that form the heritage of Folkdance in Lancashire.
She creates her own dance theatre work which reflects and explores nature, women’s stories, folktales and Lancashire heritage. Her work is based in non-theatre spaces including libraries, community centres and the outdoors, both urban and in nature.
Aimee has collaborated with RV Arts to create an online workshop Get The Knack of Clogging, with the link below.
