Bringing chamber music to Ribble Valley since 1952. Clitheroe Concerts Society currently presents six concerts a year during the Autumn and Spring months. It is a Society dedicated to presenting the very highest quality classical music concerts, by one or up to ten musicians, presenting music composed from around 1600 to the present day. The musicians are often international recording stars as well as younger artists from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester or other national conservatoires.
All concerts are on Wednesday evenings commencing at 1930hrs. The Society uses a small number of centrally located venues, currently Trinity Methodist Church & Community Hub and the Lecture Theatre at the Sixth Form Centre of the Clitheroe Royal Grammar School.
The concerts are open to the public. Tickets can be purchased from the website www.clitheroeconcerts.org, or at the door of the venue on the evening of the Concert. However, by becoming a Member of the Society, a very substantial discount is offered for the six concerts, as well as the opportunity to bring a friend for free to a particular event. Young people under the age of 18 years of age, accompanied by a member or paying adult, are admitted free by a Society Member.
Please come along and delight in the joys of live music.
Dr John Burgess – Chair and Secretary of the Society
