Bringing chamber music to the Ribble Valley since 1952.  Clitheroe Concerts Society presents seven concerts a year. A Society dedicated to presenting the very highest quality chamber music concerts, by one to six musicians, presenting music composed from around 1600 to the present day. Their musicians are often international recording stars – but also younger people chosen by a Royal School of Music or a musical trust such as the Countess of Munster Trust as outstanding prospects.

All concerts are on Wednesdays at 7:30pm. Its winter “home” is the Clitheroe Royal Grammar School in York Street, Clitheroe (BB7 2DJ) where their October, November, December, February, March and April concerts are held. They also have a June concert in the Ribble Valley Council Chamber in Church Street.

The concerts are open to anyone by buying advance tickets from the website www.clitheroeconcerts.org , from the Platform Gallery, next to Clitheroe railway station on Station Road, BB72JT or on the door on the evening. However by joining the Society, a very substantial discount is given for tickets for the six winter concerts. Full time students and accompanied children are admitted free.
