Lizi’s work combines rustic, natural pottery with brightly coloured hand painted ceramics. Her current collection is inspired by a combination of Kandinsky’s colourful energy and the spectacular street art found in Manchester City Centre and beyond. Lizi’s regular collection of work is hand thrown on the potters wheel then hand decorated with underglaze paints, transfers and line piping. In addition, she has a range of slab built items that have been slip decorated and raw fired. Each piece is totally unique and compliments her core range of homewares.
Alongside her own work, Lizi teaches pottery to adults from complete beginners to experienced makers. Classes have a relaxed atmosphere where the social aspect of the group is as important as the pottery!
She also facilitates 1:1 and 1:2 potters wheel experiences where you can come along and make pots on a potters wheel. There is also an opportunity to fire and glaze the pots you make too.
