I enjoy unfolding landscape to the horizon, in its wild, natural state, springing up under my boots. I use pastel, for the most part, loving the direct connection to the canvas and the place through my fingers. Developing my style, from scratch, since 2012, focusing on the landscape and skies of the Ribble and Hodder valleys. I love recording seasonal colour across the deeply textured moors and am told that many of my paintings express the peace and tranquillity of the region. I aspire to capture the drama of the weather in cloud movement to express the wildness, solitude, freedom and peace of mind found on the tops. Recently I have begun experimenting with acrylic to express the impact of flowers. I sell cards and giclee prints and take on some commissions. My work is gathered on my facebook page including sketches and experiments in other media.
